Beni Bazar is the administrative center of the Myagdi district in Gandaki Province. It is located at the confluence of two rivers, the Kali Gandaki and the Myagdi. Baglung is 12 kilometers away, while Kathmandu is around 300 kilometers away to the west. In the Annapurna circuit, it has become a prominent tourist attraction and lodging. The bus ride from Kathmandu to Beni takes 9-10 hours. Beni is also the gateway to Mustang. Bus to Mustang also departs from Beni and is the perfect way to spend the day before hiking to Mustang or early drive to Jomsom.
The stunning grandeur of the Annapurna Range's many snow peaks can be seen from the surrounding towns of Beni. More than a dozen Dhaulagiri range peaks, including Annapurna, Nilgiri, Churain, Manapathi, and Gurja, may be seen from here.
